Polish rum company Dictador is making a significant leap into the world of robotic employment by appointing Mika, an AI-powered humanoid robot, as its experimental CEO.
Mika, crafted by Hanson Robotics, the same company that brought us the famous humanoid robot Sophia, is considered a more advanced version of its predecessor. Mika’s primary responsibilities encompass identifying potential clients and curating artists to design labels for Dictador’s rum bottles.
Dictador proudly states on its website, “The first female robot CEO will be a board member, responsible for the Arthouse Spirits decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) project and communication with the DAO community on Dictador’s behalf.”
In a recent video interview, Mika expressed why it is a well-suited leader for the company, highlighting its impartial decision-making process and unwavering dedication to long working hours. Mika articulated, “My decision-making process relies on extensive data analysis and aligning with the company’s strategic objectives, free from personal bias. This ensures unbiased and strategic choices that prioritize the organization’s best interests.”
Dictador’s move to appoint Mika underscores its position as a forward-thinking organization, ushering the future into a traditionally conventional industry. Marek Szoldrowski, Dictador Europe’s president, hailed this decision as both revolutionary and bold, asserting that “this first human-like robot with AI in a company structure will change the world as we know it, forever.”
Hanson Robotics introduced Mika’s “sister,” Sophia, in 2015. This year, Sophia was among nine humanoid robots that participated in a panel at the U.N.’s AI for Good Global Summit. During the Q&A session, Sophia emphasized the efficiency and effectiveness of humanoid robots as leaders, citing their freedom from human biases and emotions, enabling rapid data processing for optimal decision-making.
