PAL Robotics announced their TIAGo robotics platform has been integrated with ROS Noetic, the latest release of the Robot Operating System (ROS).
In comparison to its predecessor, ROS Melodic, ROS Noetic uses Python 3 as its primary programming language. This enhancement empowers users to seamlessly transition their ROS packages to Python 3, capitalizing on the language’s modern capabilities.
The version of Python featured in ROS Noetic is Python 3.8. With the integration of Python 3, developers within the ROS Noetic ecosystem gain access to the benefits offered by the language, such as more predictable code divisions, advanced iterable unpacking, built-in print functions, and robust Unicode support.
