Robots in movies have not only entertained us but have also had an impact on the real-world development of robotics. These movies have influenced generations of individuals, including myself, to enter the field of engineering with the dream of contributing to developing, well in my case, a HAL 9000.
The following is a list of 10 movie robots and touches on how these fictional creations have inspired and influenced the existing robotics industry.
