Skygauge Robotics, an industrial maintenance robotics company, has launched its Skygauge Inspection Drone for commercial use. Following a $1 million contract with Transport Canada, the company has deployed these drones across multiple continents, including Canada, the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
One of Skygauge Robotics’ objectives is to revolutionize the application of drones with the creation of the Skygauge Inspection Drone. Designed for performing physical tasks, these drones are ideally suited for industrial ultrasonic inspections. Like doctors employ ultrasound to assess human health, inspectors utilize industrial ultrasound to examine the structural integrity of various industries, such as energy, refining, and shipping. Regular ultrasound inspections are crucial to prevent infrastructure failures.
Through collaboration with Transport Canada and several other early adopters, Skygauge Robotics has refined the core functionalities of its system in preparation for mass production. As of June 5, 2023, the Skygauge Inspection Drone is now available for purchase on the company’s official website.
